Simply Sunday Layout

Just a quick Simple layout for you today....yes, it is my little cutie pootie Joshua. So here is how to do it.
Cricut "Life's A Beach" cut title, anchor, and ship's wheel. From Cricut "New Arrival" cut toy ship. Red stars are from Creative Memories punch and the Photo Corners are from a Stampin Up punch. Since I punched the stars first the other die cuts were based on the same size and then mounted on white squares. Hope you enjoy it. So scrappin in the rain really works.

More than half way...

Can you believe that half the year is gone and we are on the down side of 2010? With that being said, where are you in your scrapping for the year? If you are like me, then you have been very busy and trying to get caught up - am I....not a chance. I guess I take more photos than I have time to scrap, but I do love to scrap and that is why I will be at the Cafe this Friday. So come rain or shine, gather some stuff and come visit us at the Cafe.

BIG NEWS for August....the All Day Crop (Saturday, August 21st) is going to be the bomb! Yes, there will be two free make-n-takes and it is only $5 this month - All Day Crop 10am - ???? for only $5 - don't miss this one.

By the way, if you missed the Garage Sale at K2 - it was really fun - we all laughed, bought stuff from each other and made some money too. I brought home way too much though and I will need another sale really soon.

More Storage Solutions & Garage Sale

I wanted to show you more storage solutions that I am currently using....This a 10 drawer caddy that I found at Sams several months ago for around $30. I divided it into different themes so all the Baby papers and embellishments are in one place, then Little Girls, Little Boy, Bling, Holidays....you get the idea. It is nice because I can take the drawer out and bring it the desk and do my searching.

Now to remind you that there will be a big, huge, fantastic Garage Sale this coming Saturday, July 31st at K2 Scrapbook Studio on Clark Road in Sarasota. I know I have a ton (or maybe more) stuff and there at least five others selling stuff from the cafe and they have eight other tables of stuff there too. Doors open at 10am - come see us for great scrapping products at low prices.

Think Ribbon

I must confess that I love ribbon and have tried many ways to store it so that I would actually use it - or at least think about using it - the ribbon is all so pretty and I might bring myself to use it. Anyway, I have tried putting them in the storage bag or plastic box with holes drilled so that it was beautiful mass of ribbon poking out from all over and I have used Art Bin boxes but then I found Ribbon Rings....in love with this! I have added a couple of photos for you of my ribbon - it hanging from the edge of my storage shelves and yes, now I use the ribbon. If you want more information, Google Ribbon Rings

Garage Sale is Coming

I just wanted to let you know that next Saturday, July 31, K2 Scrapbook Studio, Clark Road, Sarasota will be having a Garage Sale inside the store. There will be 10 sellers - that maybe not sound like a huge sale but believe me.....I will be one of the sellers and as a Manufacturers' Rep for a while, I have a ton of fun stuff you gotta see. I also got word that there will be lots of stamps for sale too. So plan to come to K2 Scrapbook Studio next Saturday - doors open at 10am.

Discovery

I stopped at the All Day Crop after making a trip to and from Orlando to drop off an adorable grandchild back to her parents and Discovered a delightful group of friends having fun at the crop - maybe a little small on numbers this month but big on fun and creativity. I just cannot wait until Friday for the next crop.

I have also just recently Discovered a new blog that you Cricut lovers will like - check it out at http://spartansusscraper.blogspot.com/

What did you Discover today?

Let's Go to the Crop

Ok, so the crop is coming Friday and Saturday and you think you are ready to go - you make five trips to the car to pack it all in....hum...who am I talking to. Anyway, let us get things under control. When you travel and crop, then planning ahead is a must. If you are going to scrap layouts, then bring just what you need for those layouts. Draw a sketch or choose one from many different design books, then have your photos sorted, cardstock and pattern papers pulled and any embellishments you may want for that page. Put everything together in a Page Manager (my personal fav), a cropper hopper paper holder or the gallon size zip bags. If you get in a practice to do this with your photos for every layout, scrappin goes much quicker. When I said super scrappin done on Sunday afternoon (see Sunday's post) it means I got six layouts done.
